New Smart Triage Questions
We are introducing "Smart Triage Questions" within our online Patient Triage service.
When you submit a medical request online, you may be asked a small number of additional follow-up questions. These questions are generated using artificial intelligence (AI) based on the information you have entered and are designed to help our clinical team gather relevant information before reviewing your request. Smart Triage Questions can generate up to five additional questions to help us understand your needs.
What does this mean for patients?
- You may be asked up to five additional questions after describing your health problem.
- The questions are optional and can be skipped if you prefer.
- Any answers you provide will be included with your request when it is received by the practice.
- Your request will continue to be reviewed through our normal patient triage process
What the AI does not do
The AI is used only to generate follow-up questions based on the information you enter into the online form.
It:
- Does not access or interact with your GP medical record.
- Does not make a diagnosis.
- Does not recommend treatment or a management plan.
- Does not make decisions about your care.
- Does not replace our clinicians or practice team.
All requests are reviewed by our clinical team, who remain responsible for any decisions made about your care.
Accessibility and alternative ways to contact us
Smart Triage Questions are currently available in English only. If you have difficulty using our online services because of a disability, accessibility requirement, language barrier, cognitive impairment, or limited confidence using digital services, you can still contact the practice by telephone or speak to a member of our reception team, who will be happy to help you access our services.
