Changes to our Opening Hours and Online Services

From 1 October 2025, we’re making some changes to make it easier for you to get the care you need.

Longer core hours

Our core opening hours will now be 8am to 6.30pm, so we can be here for you for longer each day.

Online Consultation Tools

At Somerset Bridge Medical Centre, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to contact us — whether that’s by phone, online, or by visiting the practice in person. Our goal is to ensure everyone has equal access to care, no matter which way they choose to get in touch.

As part of the government’s ambition to end the “8am scramble,” from 1 October 2025 we will keep our online consultation tool open for the full duration of our core hours (8am to 6.30pm). You’ll be able to use it for:

• Medical requests

• Request non-urgent appointments

• Ask about medication

• Administrative requests

These changes are part of the new GP contract for 2025/26, designed to give patients more access to care.
