Birthday Annual Review

From April 2014 we will be changing the way we manage patients with long term health conditions.      Patients who have conditions such as diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypothyroidism, cardiovascular disease or high blood pressure will have a single review for all their long term medical problems each year in the month of their birthday .  This will reduce the number of visits patients have to make to have their long term conditions monitored which we hope will be much more convenient.  We would encourage you to contact the practice around the time of your birthday to book a Birthday Review  appointment if this applies to you.

Transferring from the old system to a birthday review system is going to be challenging and may result in some patients being seen earlier or later than they initially expected.  The doctors would like to thank all their patients for their support whilst we are implementing these changes

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual to work in our friendly and well established practice to provide maternity cover. Up to full-time hours available.

General treatment room skills are needed with up to date cytology, wound management and childhood immunisations. Chronic disease management (particularly respiratory) and INR are also desirable, but not essential.

What we are looking for:

We are looking to appoint one or more Medical Receptionists to join our friendly practice team.    We are a busy and vibrant medical practice, based over two sites, in Bridgwater.  The ideal candidate(s) will have proven customer service experience, have excellent keyboard skills and be able to work as part of a team.  Previous Medical Receptionist experience is advantageous, but, training will be given to the right person.   Applicants must be fully flexible to cover staff holiday and sickness.  The hours will be undertaken on Monday 8 am to 6 pm, Thursday 1 pm to 5 pm, Friday 8 am to 6 pm.  The successful candidate will also be required to work Tuesday evening 6pm to 8 pm as part of rota (approximately 1 in 8).
